<>rate for the 2007-2008 year.  The overall budget is set at $16,894,457,   an increase of $426,996 over the current budget.  The proposed tax rate is $0.45 per $100 valuation, down from the current $0.465.  This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $226,632 (20%) and of that amount $25,655 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the roll this year.  The proposed budget is available at the City Hall for review and the City encourages the participation of its citizens in this important process.
