JOB OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE CITY OF PLEASANTON:

The City of Pleasanton is accepting applications for the following positions. Applicants must have high school diploma or GED, and valid class C Texas drivers license with good driving record. Street Maintenance Workers:

Must have experience in operating a dump truck and shredder. Experience in maintenance and construction of streets and operating heavy equipment preferred. Must be able to follow specific instructions.

Parks Maintenance:

Applicants must like working outdoors, be self-motivated, be outgoing, have a willingness to help others, have initiative, and work well with others.

Applicant must also have knowlegde of the following: problem solving, farm equipment, pesticides and herbicides,swimming pool operations, servicing small engine equipment,

general skills in plumbing, electrical, and landscaping

Meter Reader/Utility Workers:

Responsible for laying new water/sewer lines and making repairs. Must be able to understand and follow specific instructions and use a handheld computer. Must be able to physically do lots of bending and walking.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator:

Must obtain Class D Wastewater certification within one year. (Training is Provided) Must have the ability to understand and follow specific oral instructions. Must have to ability to perform a variety of routine duties.
